Warsaw - Mrs. Annie L. Kornegay, 87 of 808 W. College St. transitioned Sunday at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Charlotte.
Born in Duplin Co., she is the daughter of the late James Albert and Armittie Miller and wife of the late William Kornegay Jr.
The love that she gave to her family, friends and community will be greatly missed.
Her legacy will forever be cherished by her children, Gaynelle Kornegay Love of Hampton, VA and Ronald (Janice) Kornegay of Charlotte; a son that she loved as her own, William Frank (Yaska) Kornegay III of Fort Laurderdale, FL; three grandchildren, Boston Love, Jessica (Greg) Garcon and TaDarius Hargrove; two sisters, Nannie M. Barfield of Mt. Olive and Shirley M. Mills of Kinston; one brother, Preston Miller of Warsaw; two sister-in-law, Eva S. Miller of Magnolia and Mildred Miller of Kinston; nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she has been reunited with her son, Patrick Kornegay and brothers, Robert Miller and Roy Lee Miller.
