Faison - Elder Robert Lee Bizzell, 78 of 116 Hicks Lane, went from labor to reward on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Genesis Health Care, Mt. Olive.
"Pete" as he was fondly called was born in Duplin County to the late Dave and Sallie Garner Bizzell on June 8, 1939. He was adopted and raised by Rose and George Teachey of Duplin County. He was educated in the Duplin County School System.
“Pete was a hard-worker, an avid gardner, and most of all he was a devoted man of God. He loved the Lord, life and his family.
Elder Bizzell was preceded in death by his parents, adoptive parents, and oldest son, Charles Teachey.
Elder Bizzell leaves an abundance of precious memories to be cherished by his wife, Joyce W. Bizzell of the home; four sons, Pastor Thomas Bizzell (Tina) of Wilson, NC, Tony Bizzell (Ashley) of Albertson, NC, Timothy Bizzell (Latoshia) of Beulaville, NC, Pastor David Bizzell ( Pastor Debbie) of Pink Hill, NC, one daughter, Gwendolyn Gardner (Oliver) of Kinston, NC; thirteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren; three brothers, Theodore Moore (Maisha) of Kinston, William Leach (Lauren) of Kinston, NC, Jimmy Branch (Joyce) of Greensboro, NC; three sisters, Mary Barnes of Durham, NC, Lorina Ecaldo of Durham, NC, Swannie B. Branch of Mt. Olive, NC; brothers in-law, Woodell McGowan of Beulaville, NC and Earl Wallace of Mt. Olive; two sisters in-law, Tenia Jones of Goldsboro, NC and Adalene Wallace of Mt. Olive, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
