New Jersey -  Illya (Nick) Middleton, formerly of Duplin County, passed at Robert Wood Johnson University on April 25, 2017.

Illya Nikolia Middleton (Nick) was born to the late Matthew Faison and Mary M. Middleton on November 10, 1965 in Duplin County, N.C.

Nick was educated in the Duplin County School System.

After his schooling, Nick joined the United States Army.  He served his country faithfully receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, to name a few. He was employed by Guildford East and later gained employment at Eaton Electrical until his death.

Nick entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories to his wife, Mary Middleton; two daughters, Iesha Middleton, Birmingham, Alabama, and Mary A. Middleton, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; son, Illya N. Middleton, Jr. of Newark, NJ; grandchildren, Makayla Middleton Neal, Makhael Middleton Neal, and Jaquqeon Venas Woods; brothers, Elton Jackson (Cynthia), and Arnell Jackson (Doddie) both of Brooklyn NY; Adrian Mathis (Renee), Clinton, NC; his fiancée, Lucinda English, Newark, NJ;  sisters, Godivia L. Middleton Bowden, NC, and Bridget Faison (Michael), Warsaw, NC Edwina Jackson, Brooklyn, NY, and Shirley Jones, Kenansville, NC; aunts, Elizabeth Hicks of Wallace, NC, and Ella Beasley of California; mama, Rose E. Faison, Warsaw, NC;Godmothers, Georgia Jackson, Ann Jenkins, and Nannie Barfield; special nieces, Tiffany Jones, Miranda Middleton, and Elizabeth Holden; friends for life, Ella Glaspie (Maggie), Sidney Brodie, Robert Moore, Eric Middleton, Hubert Middleton, James Moore, and Thomas Frederick, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
