New York, NY - Mr. James E. Elliott, 82 formerly of Wayne County answered the Master's call on Saturday, August  5, 2017 at Mount Sinai Hospital, Manhattan, NY.

He is the son of the late James Henry and Annie King Elliott and was born in Mount Olive, NC on May 7, 1935.

After graduating from Carver High School, he joined the United States Army.

He married his high school sweetheart, the late Anna Pearl Robertson, while he was enlisted in the Army.

After being honorably discharged from the Army, he relocated to New York City.  He gained employment at several companies, most notably Apollo Plastics in New Jersey where he was a foreman.

He is survived by daughters, Deborah Elliott, Vianna Elliott Murray & husband, Fitz, and Dwayna Greene & husband, Robert; son, Michael Elliott; three grandchildren, Hassan Roseboro, Kiana Roseboro and Jasmine Greene; sister, Linda Faye Walter & husband, Desmon; brothers, Albert Elliott & wife, Florrie, Dr. Thomas Elliott & wife, Vardreane and Reginald D. Elliott and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
