Mt. Olive - Mr. Michael T. Howard, 52 transitioned Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Wayne UNC Health Care.

Born in Wayne Co., he is the son of Henrietta Boone Howard and the late Bert Cox.

Michael received his education from the Wayne County School System and graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1984. He was employed with SunBridge Nursing Home from 1997 until 2006.  He worked diligently in the Environmental Services Department and became supervisor of the department. 

He will forever leave cherished memories to his mother, Henrietta B. Howard of the home; five sisters, Martha Howard, Regina (William) Quinn, Linda C. Moore, Edna ( Harvey) Walls all of Mt, Olive and Eva (Eddie) Vann of Goldsboro; two brothers, Walter Lee Cox of Mt. Olive and William Bert Cox of Fayetteville; two aunts, Loretta B., McClain and Adline Cox Faison of Mt. Olive; one uncle, Charles  F. Boone of Indian Springs; one great uncle, Eziekiel (Lillie) Ward of Mt. Olive, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Michael's comical and charismatic demeanor will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched!
