Donald Ellis Banks was born on October 24, 1934.  He passed away peacefully on December 19, 2017 at Vidant Hospital.

 

Donald grew up in Camden, NJ, where he graduated from Camden High School.  After graduating high school, Donald enlisted in the U.S. Army and he served for four years. 

 

Donald was a hard-working man. He retired from Aluminum Shapes after 30 years of dedicated service. He then moved his family to Kenansville, NC.

 

He was preceded to heaven by his parents Oscar & Hattie Banks; his brothers, Oscar Banks, Sr., Randy Banks; sisters, Juanita Banks, Margarite Banks, and Rosetta Sheeks.

 

Donald leaves to cherish precious memories to his wife of 40 years, Azelda Banks; children, Donna Dozier, Doreen Wilson, William Banks, Jewell Banks, Azelda Banks, Zenda Banks, Amanda Banks-Hill and Zaneda Banks-Mathis; brother, Curtis Banks; sisters, Launa Banks, Barbara Jenkins, Doris Hailey, Naomi Williams, Nina Still; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
