Mt. Olive - Felton Pearsall, Jr., 62, of 531 South Chestnutt St., answered the Master's call at his home on Friday, November 3, 2017.

Homegoing service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017, 12 noon, at Payne Temple AME Zion Church in Mt. Olive, NC. 

On Friday, November 3, 2017, Felton Jr. made his transition to that “House Not Made with Hands Eternal in The Heavens.”  He was born on December 31, 1954 to Cliffornia Williams Pearsall and the late Felton Pearsall, Sr.  
Felton Jr. was educated in the Wayne County School System and graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1973.  He attended Mount Olive Junior College where he excelled in music, became a master musician and graduated in 1975.  He also attended Saint Augustine College.  Felton Jr. was employed at Mount Olive Pickle Company for several years, afterwards he was employed at Carolina Turkey Plant from which he retired.
 Felton Jr., at an early age became a member of Payne Temple A.M.E. Zion Church where he served as a junior usher, was a member of the Buds of Promise and was very active in the music department.  He taught piano and was pianist for the junior choir.
Junior, as he was affectionately called was a very loving and caring son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend.  He was quiet and had a humble spirit.  Junior enjoyed cooking and was well known for his delicious desserts which he generously shared with others. 


Felton Jr. leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother Cliffornia Williams Pearsall of the home; brother Vincent B. Pearsall and his wife Andrea of Durham, NC; aunt Ethel Briley of Mt Olive, NC, several godchildren and a host of loving cousins, other relatives and special friends.

Felton Jr. was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David Sr. and Henrietta Highsmith Williams, paternal grandparents, James Sr. and Coral Nicholson Pearsall, aunts;  Eliza W. Newkirk, Mary Lou W. Cobbs, Ruby P. Pearsall,  Myra P. Outlaw, Ora Pearl P. Johnson, Cora Lorraine P. Lofton, uncles; James Jr., Amandes, Robert, Leonard, Leon Pearsall, John Briley and Sam Cobbs.
