Born in Duplin Co., she is the daughter of the late Cicero and Jessie Southerland Dixon.

She leaves to cherish loving memories to her children, Jessie Murphy of Kenansville, Zenobia Smith of Newburgh, NY and Naomia Harris (James) of Durham, Josh Miller of Kenansville, Lenwood Miller (Annette) of Kenansville and General Miller (Pamela) of Beulaville; 20 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Joyce Miller of Kenansville and a host of nieces, nephews. sister-in-law and friends.
