Mildred Jean Platt

Washington, DC - Mrs. Mildred Jean Platt, 82 of Washington, DC formally of Duplin Co., transitioned Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Springs, MD.

Born in Kenansville, she was the first of seven children born to the late Frank McIver and the late Minnie F. Miller.

She leaves to mourn 3 children, Aron McKiver (Wanda) of Warsaw, Petheria McIver of Waldorf, MD., and Jeannie McIver of Washington, DC; two sisters, Peggie Maultsby of Forest Hill, NY and Maevester McIver of Silver Springs, MD; one aunt, Lettice McIver of Albertson; one uncle, Robert McKiver Sr. of West Haven, CT and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she has been reunited with her husband, Haywood Platt; siblings, Frank McIver Jr,, Andrew McIver, Mavis McIver and Elmiree McIver.
