Alfred Miller was born on March 14, 1958, in Wayne County, North Carolina to the late Alford Miller and Ethel Wells Miller. Alfred peacefully transitioned from this earthly walk of life on June 15, 2024.
Alfred graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1977. He played basketball in high school and after high school attended St. Augustine College in Raleigh, NC and later graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. He was a member of the USBC Bowling Association and enjoyed bowling with family and friends.
Alfred was a member of Jackson Tabernacle Church in Mt. Olive, NC but on occasion attended church in Durham.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Miriam W. Miller of the home; sons Marques K. Miller (Courtney) of Durham, NC, Douglas L. Miller of Cary, NC, and Gregory Boseman of Charlotte, NC; daughters Brittany L. Miller of Wendell, NC, and Katia Kornegay of Dudley, NC; grandchildren Jayden C. Miller, Aashka Boykin and Ijlal Boykin and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services are entrusted to Ellis B. Jones & Sons Funeral Home, Durham.
