Magnolia - Mrs. Annie R. Lewis, 91 wrote the final chapter of this life on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at her home.
Born in Duplin Co. she is the daughter of the late Walter James Glasper and Mamie Dixon Glasper.
After graduating high school, she moved to New York to pursue a better life. It was here that she taught special needs children until she returned home to North Carolina in 1990.
She was a faithful member of New Christian Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and Daughters of Zion until her health declined.
Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of her sons, Charles "Chase" Lewis of Magnolia and Vincent C. Lewis (Felice) of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren, Aaron, Brandon, Cierra and Donovan; four sisters. Rena Hall of Washington, DC, Mary Hill of Clinton, Thelma Glasper of Kenansville and Carolyn Austin of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Bernard Glasper; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she has been reunited with her husband, James Lewis and son, Michael Lewis.
