Annie Smith

Clinton - Mrs. Annie R. Smith. 76 of 1367 Old Warsaw Rd., transitioned Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville.

She is the daughter of the late Oliver Carroll Sr. and Nancy Royal Carroll and was born on April 8, 1943 in Wayne County.

She will be remembered for being a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Those left to cherish these attributes are her husband, Joseph Smith of the home; children, Joseph C. Smith of Greensboro, Kenneth R. Smith of Lumberton, Theresa (Craig) Howard of Roseboro, Andre (Betty) Smith of Warsaw and Antionette Smith of Clinton, six grandchildren, Brianna, Keon, Shamika, Andre II, Alanna and Tyind'e; one granddaughter, JaLoni; sister, Edna Williams of Niagara Falls, NY, brother, Larry Carroll of Niagara Falls, NY; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she has been reunited with her siblings, Joe Oliver, Rufus, Hubert, Luther, William, Bennie, George, Jerry, Rosa and Ruby.
