Mt. Olive - Pastor Anthony L. Ezzell, 61 went from labor to reward on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at his home.
Born in Wayne Co., he is the son of the late Charlie Lee Bass Jr. and Doris Jean Ezzell.
A Triumphant Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 12 Noon at Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly, 211 W. Hooks River Rd. Goldsboro. Honors by Wayne County Sheriff's Department and Committal will follow in Carver Cemetery, Mt. Olive.
He leaves to cherish loving memories to his wife, Gloria Lynette Ezzell; two children, Deshaun Barfield (Reshika) and Lakita Brodie (Marcus); seven grandchildren; Jaida, Sarah, My'Kel, Makayla, Khloe, Elijah and Emery; siblings, Ruthie Bailey, Shaunita Ezzell, Rodney Bass (Janet), Von Bass, Keisha Andrews, Tarsha Bass and Alfonza Robinson (Tekelia); three aunts, Bernestine West, Helen Powell and Minnie Pearsall; brothers-in-law, Willie Barfield and Milford Barfield Jr. (Debbie); nieces, nephews, cousins, his First Baptist Church Calypso family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he has been reunited with his son, Marquis Ezzell, brothers, Terry Ezzell and Kwaski Bass; grandparents, Rellie and Ruth Ezzell.
Pastor Ezzell's request will be honored; therefore, there will be NO public viewing.
