Jamestown - Ms. Arleen George Brown was added to Heavens Garden Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Beacon Place Hospice Center, Greensboro surrounded by her faithful and loving family.

Arleen George Brown, 60 (formally of Faison N.C.) relocated to 200 Private Cooper Lane Jamestown N.C. She is the daughter of the late Vice Bishop EV George and Mother Reatha George.  Arleen was born on August 19, 1960 in Sampson County.

God in His Ultimate Wisdom and Power saw that the road for Arleen was getting too difficult, therefore, He allowed the angle of mercy to wrap her in his warm and gentle embrace and take her safely to the heavenly place of peace and rest (home).She joined Bentonville Disciples of Christ Church Four Oaks N.C. under the leadership of her father, Vice Bishop E.V. George at an early age. She was a former member of the George Sisters Gospel singing group until her path led her to relocate to Greensboro, N.C. She received her education in the Duplin County School system and furthered her education at Brookstone College of Business in Greensboro, N.C. Arlene was a Christian woman who studied the word of God daily and encouraged others. She had started the process of writing a book until her health greatly declined. She will be long remembered for her strong attitude toward doing things decent and in order and in a business sense. Her warm and gentle smile and classy demeanor will always bring a smile across the face of her family.

Arleen was preceded in death by her grandparents Rev. Sylvester and Ardella George, Deacon Samuel and Rosa Fryar, parents Vice Bishop EV. George and Mother Reatha George. 

She leaves to cherish her memories to one daughter, Anya Motely of Kernersville N.C, two sons Joseph Kornegay Jr. (Jessica) of Highpoint N.C. and Marcus Vincent of Greensboro N.C. four grandchildren, Bryce, Ky’mani, Jayden, Nyla and one on the way. Six sisters, Evangelist Gladys Sutton (Earl) Warsaw, N.C. Evangelist Bertha Smith (Lennie) Goldsboro N.C. Loretha Smith (Stanley) Faison, N.C., Evangelist Evangeline Grandy (Elder Woodrow) Dudley, N.C. Evangelist Shirley Simpson, Faison, N.C. and Glenda Stevens Calypso, N.C. Three brothers, Isaac George (Brenda) Goldsboro N.C, Avandus George (Catina) Faison, N.C, and Levi George (Marylin) Faison N.C.  Godsons, Elder Adrian (Tiffany) Grandy and Deacon Brandon (Shanice) Grandy both of Dudley, N.C. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends inclusive of Joseph Kornegay Sr. of Mount Olive, N.C.
