Mt. Olive - Ms. Bessie Garner, 96 a resident of Genesis Health Care transitioned Monday, September 10, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Wayne Co., she is the daughter of the late Frederick and Lizzie Robinson Garner.
She is survived by five children.Wilbert "Pete" (Ellen) Garner of Mt. Olive, Davis Garner and Willie Garner of New York, Dorothy (Eugene) Alexander of Calypso and Sally Whitley of Faison; two granddaughters, Diane Garner and Angel Garner who was with her on her last few hours of life; eleven grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, seventeen great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She has been reunited with her daughter Pauline Garner Hill.
