Bessie Lee Hand

Warsaw - Ms. Bessie Lee Hand, 81 of 209 Bartlett Rd. closed the curtains of this life Saturday, July 31, 2021 at her home.

Bessie affectionally known as Pee Wee was born on June 25, 1940 and was the third oldest child of the late Johnie and Katie Williams Hand.  At an early age, she joined First Baptist Bowden Missionary Church in Bowdens, N.C.   She attended Douglas High School during her school years.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her three children, April Hand Newkirk (Wendell Bullock), Darrin Hand (Velesa Nickelson) and August Hand (Dwight Exum); seven grandchildren, Mirandia Hand Belvin (Marcus), Montonio Hand, Edward "EC" Newkirk, Amanda Hand, Darius Hand, Julius Hand and Jordan Newkirk; eleven great grandchildren; siblings, Jessie Ladson (Cleveland), Betty Lowe, James E. Hand (Tracy), Brookie Moore, Denise Jefferson (Tyrone).  A host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
