Born in Wayne Co., he is the son of the late Edward and Helen Ruth Usher.
He leaves to cherish loving memories to three daughters, Latoya (Johnta) Skyes, Monique Hargrove and Latree Hargrove all of Goldsboro; five sons, Joshua Kenan, Greg Carr of Goldsboro, Vontae (Tamra) Ashford of Shreveport, Louisiana, Dontae Ashford of Newport News, VA, and Lamone Jamale Hargrove of Dudley;four sisters, Minister Vondra (James) McClain, Helen (James) Stevens, Sylvia C. Usher of Mt. Olive and Brenda (James) Cox of Dudley; one brother, Jerry Usher of Dudley; nineteen grandchildren; one uncle, one aunt, seventeen nieces and nephews and a host of cousins other relatives and friends.
