Mt. Olive - Mother Caroletha Langley, 77 transitioned from this earthly life to her heavenly home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 18, 2023 at her residence.
Born in Harnett Co., she is the daughter of the late Milton and Lila Artis Ward and wife of the late Lavernal Langley.
Mother Langley was a devoted member of St. Luke Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, Mt. Olive where she served in various capacities including the mother board. and senior choir. She also touched the lives of many children after working 35 years in the Wayne County School System. Her presence with family, church and community will be greatly missed.
Cherished and loving memories will linger in the hearts of her children, Clintona Lee (Marcus) and Anthony Langley; a devoted daughter-in-love, Valerie Langley; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, siblings, John D. Ward (Elenice) of Fremont, Charlie M. Ward (Gwendolyn) of Dudley, Sherman R. Ward (Ronda) of Riegelwood, Toney G. Ward of Atlanta, GA, Bennie C. Ward of Mt. Olive, Theresa Jackson of Dudley, Amos Bruce Ward (Antoinette) of Atlanta. GA, Raymond Earl Ward of Dudley and Stevie Ward (Nancy) of Columbia, SC; sisters-in-law, Geraldine (Harrison) Brown of Clayton, Kathryn(Joseph) Scott of Goldsboro, Esther (Franklin) Watson of Smithfield and Aileen Ward of Clayton; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she has been reunited with two grandsons.
