Christopher Lee Matthews

Mt. Olive - Mr. Christopher Matthews, 55 of 258 Lees Country Club Rd. departed this earthly life Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his home. 

Chris also affectionally known as Heavy, Uncle Dawg and Chris Cross, was born in Verdun France to his parents the late Porter L. Matthews and Louise Brinkley Matthews.

He was  a graduate of Southern Wayne High School Class of 1984. Chris worked a variety of jobs but his true passion was Trucking!  He had just purchased his own tractor trailer when his health begin to fail.

He leaves to cherish loving memories to sister, Sage Veronica Harris of Mt. Olive; three nieces, Madison (Zach) Thomas of Atlanta, GA,, Baylor and McKayla Harris of Mt. Olive.  His devoted caretakers, cousins and friends.
