Daisy Marie (Reid) McKithan

Mt. Olive - Mrs. Daisy McKithan, 84 transitioned to her new heavenly address Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her home.

Born in Wayne Co., she is the daughter of the late Johnnie and Lillie Mae Cooper Reid.

She received her education in Wayne and Duplin County School Systems.  Her employment included Mt. Olive Pickle Company and the Shed in Smihfield.

In her leisure, she enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy M. Battle and six nephews.

She leaves five generations of her linage to carry on her legacy that includes four children, Kenneth Jones, Renay Jones, Gary Jones and Doris Jones all of Mt. Olive; 16 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including  a special family friend that is more like a daughter, Mary Miles.
