Mt. Olive - Mr. David Sloan Jr., 85 a resident of Genesis Health Care peacefully transitioned from this life Friday, April 10, 2020 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

There will be no formal service.

He was born in Duplin Co. on March 3, 1935 to Maggie Ruth Sloan Thorb.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, grandchildredren; siblings, Rosie Lee Rich (Tommy), Ernest Thorb and Maggielene Gillis of Raleigh, Sara E. Wyche of Knightdale, and Primmie Whitaker of Warsaw.
