Mt. Olive - Mrs. Dessie Shirley Eure, 88 placed her hand in the Master's hand on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro.
Born in Wayne Co., she is the daughter of the late James Pearsall and Mamie Mae Pearsall and wife of the late Lee Edward Eure.
Homegoing Service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church with Apostle Frank M. Dawson, officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She leaves to cherish loving memories to her children, Zachary Eure (Shelitta), Ava Barnes, Lynette Dawson (Frank), Wayne Eure and Bonita Ann Pearson (Glenn); eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she has been reunited with her son, Gregory, granddaughter, NiKita Pearson, grandson, Jamall Pearsall and siblings, Lillie E. Pittman, Nora P. Cook, Annie E. Moore, Leslie C. Pearsall, Erman J. Pearsall and William James Pearsall Jr.
A time of viewing and reflection will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel and one hour prior to funeral service at the church.
