Dock Martin Best Jr.

Newton Grove - Elder Dock Martin Best Jr, 92  a resident of A De Paul Senior Living Community transitioned from labor to reward Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro.

Born in Sampson County he is the son of the late Dock Martin Best Sr. and Dollie Hargrove Best and husband of the late Alberta Outlaw Best.

Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of his children, Gerthalen Martin Best of Chester, VA., Karen Best Moore and husband, James Sr., of  Walkertown and Melissa Best-Townes and husband, Carmichael of Chester, VA; three grandchildren, James Moore II, Nya Townes and Daijah Townes; two sisters, Rachel Ragin of Mt. Olive and Elma Lockamy of Faison; one sister-in-law, Rosa Matthews of Kenansville and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he has been reunited with his sister, Winnie Royall.
