Doretha Strickland

Mt. Olive - Ms. Doretha Strickland, 69 transitioned Monday, February 2, 2026, at her home.  She was born in Wayne County on August 20, 1956.  She is the daughter of the late James E, Strickland and Ella Francis Lamb Strickland

Doretha's memory will be cherished by her brother, Len Strickland; nephews, Bennie Teachey of Atlanta, GA, Glen Strickland (Tameka) of Goldsboro, NC, William Strickland (Yolanda) of Dudley, NC and Len “Pooh” Strickland, Jr. (Queenetta) of Mount Olive, NC; niece, Joy Teachey of Wilmington, NC and a host of loving aunts, uncles, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.  She also leaves a close special friend, Mrs. Nellie Tarpley of Virginia.
