Mt. Olive - Apostle Dyrell M. Oates, 52 eased from the labor of time into the joy of eternity on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

Born in Wayne Co., he is the son of Earnestine Graham Oates and the late Ray Mitchell Oates.

Apostle Oates was a teacher of God's word, an extraordinary musician, entrepreneur and a lover of family and life. These gifts will be forever cherished by his son, Aaron, mother, Earnestine, siblings Charles and Shelia and nieces and nephews. You were a blessing to all of the lives you touched.

The family is most appreciative for your phone calls, texts, cards and other expressions of love that you have shown them during this time.  Because of covid, they ask that instead of visits, please keep them lifted up in prayer.
