Edna Davis

Mt. Olive - Ms. Edna Davis, 84 of 610 S. Center St. transitioned Sunday, July 29, 2018 at her home.

Born in Wayne Co., "Soot" as she was affectionately called by family and friends is the daughter of the late Will Leonard and Johnnie Dell McCullen Leonard.

She leaves to cherish her love and legacy to her children, James (Patricia Ann) Leonard of Dudley, Larry (Sylvia Faye) Leonard of Dudley, Daisy (Ashley) Jordan of Las Vegas, NV,  Betty Ann Davis (Harry Dent) of Faison, Johnny Davis ( Vanessa Frederick) of Mt. Olive, Bobbie Jean (Khamil) Ali of Dudley, Anthony Davis of Dudley and Emmanuel Fenton of Mt. Olive; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren including two grandchildren that she raised as her own, Katrina Broadie of Dudley and Romello Leonard of Spartenburg, SC; one sister, Geraldine Johnson of Brooklyn, NY; a special friend, James Fenton and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she has been reunited with her daughter, Alice Joyner and siblings, Gertrude, Harry, Doretha, James Arthur, Clarence, Mary Alberta and John Robert.
