Goldsboro - Mr. Edward Morris Davis, 85 of 126 Rosewood Rd. transitioned from labor to reward Thursday, October 8, 2020 at SECU Hospice House, Smithfield.
He was born April 5, 1935 in Duplin County, North Carolina to the late Clarence and Nettie Pearsall Davis and was married to the love of his life, the late Yonnie V. Davis.
He is lovingly survived by his daughter, Ada Saunders- Cooper (Marshall) of Goldsboro; son, Edward Dwight Davis of Raleigh; his daughter, Evelyn Deloris Davis of Raleigh; his daughter, Minister Kiesha L. Cousar (Gemelle) of Raleigh; three brothers, Donald Davis (Christine) of Seven Springs, Earl Davis (Bernetta) of Goldsboro, Charles Davis (Ezzie) of Goldsboro; one brother-in-law, Remus Stanley (Mary) of Kinston; one sister-in-law, Ava Smith (Harvey) of Seven Springs; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews and close family and friends who will miss him dearly.
*Family and friends are asked to assemble at Wayne Memorial Park at 11:50 a.m. and NOT at the family home in preparation for the service.
