Goldsboro - Mrs. Ernestine C. Washington, 93 peacefully made her transition to eternity Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Eagle's Pointe Assisted Living.
"Teen," as she was affectionately known was born in Mt. Olive. She is the daughter of the late William Allen Cooper and Nora Wallace Cooper.
She was a member of Goldsboro Marantha Seventh-day Adventist Church. A devout follower of church doctrine and belief, she lived her life exemplifying principles of Christian fellowship. She truly loved her church family.
Blessed with the gift of service, she was a member of Carver High School Alumni Association (Class of 1945). She was also active in community affairs and was a contributor to various charitable organizations. An accomplished soprano, "Teen" performed in numerous recitals and concerts in several states, cities and overseas.
She is survived by her Godson, Gregory Hopkins of Philadelphia, PA., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she has been reunited with her daughter, Kay Frances Cooper and twelve siblings.
