Mt. Olive - Mr. Harry Thomas Oates, 76 boarded the gospel ship Thursday, October 20, 2022 at home.
He is the son of the late Robert Oates and the late Mattie Langley Wolfe and was born in Wayne County.
Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of his wife, Annie Oates of the home, one son, Harry L. (Sharon) Oates Jr. of Dudley; one daughter, Jerrica Oates of Dobbersville; six grandchildren, Shakala Willims, Wantina Oates, Laetitia (Albert) Pugh, Tierra Jackson, Destiny Melton and Harisha Williams; four great-grandchildren, Derrick McDougal II, Renville Vann III (Tre'), Helena Pugh-Yeboah and Aubree Pugh-Yeboah; four sisters, Nadine Oates and Ruby Boseman of Goldsboro, Joyce Davis of Maryland and Peggy Anderson of New Jersey; brother, Keith Adam (Lorise) Wolfe of Maryland; sisters-in-law, Louise Williams, Doris (Alvin) Atkinson, Sarah Weeks, Emma Draughon, Mary Judd and Rachel (James) Meeks.
