James Allen Howard

Fayetteville - Mr. James A. Howard, 65 boarded the gospel ship Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, Fayetteville.

Born in Sampson Co., he is the son of the late Essie Freeman Howard and Rev. Albert Odell Howard.

He joined the Air Force in July 1976 and served within the US.  A proud Soldier, he worked in telecommunications, but had talents in electricity, plumbing, carpentry and mechanics.

To continue his legacy are his daughter, Akisha Howard of Fayetteville; son, JaRon Moore of Raleigh; granddaughter, Alaiszah Moore of Raleigh; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Cummings and Carolyn Chestnut of Clinton and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he has been reunited with siblings, Odell "June" Howard, Jerry Howard Sr., Raeford Howard and Radford Howard.
