Jimmy Ree Thompson

Dudley - Mr. Jimmy R. Thompson, 66 completed his earthly journey Saturday, September 16, 2023 at his home.

"Red" as he was affectionately called by family and friends was born in Wayne Co. to his parents Earl Thompson and Edna Thompson Davis.  Most of his formal education was received in Wayne County School System.

He is survived by two sons, Demarkus Thompson of Connecticut and Tavarus Thompson of Washington, DC; mother, Edna Faison Davis of Dudley; three grandchildren; special friend, Lessie "Rose" Johnson of Dudley; three siblings, Bobbie Artis of Connecticut, twin sister, Brenda Swinson of Connecticut and Roy Thompson of Dudley and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his father, he has been reunited with siblings, Judy Thompson, Thomas Earl Thompson and John Edward Thompson.
