Albertson- Mr. Joe Nathan Hamilton, 76 of 4177 NC 111N gained his heavenly wings Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Born in Duplin Co., he is the son of the late James and Lillie Garner Hamilton.
Recognizing the need for having Christ in his life, Joe attended and was a member of Bethany FWB Church, Albertson. He worked as a farmer for many years with the Simmons family. He could be found sitting on the bench at Rmart in Albertson where he encountered many friends who loved him just like family. "Little Joe Joe" as he was affectionally called was known for his smile and bodacious laugh. He will be greatly missed.
Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of his children, Debbie Outlaw (Curtis) of Pink Hill, Terry Hamilton of Clayton and Christopher Hamilton of Albertson; two brothers, Hubert Hamilton (Ruby) of Albertson and Carl Hamilton (Debbie) of Clayton; two sisters, Joyce Hamilton of Charlotte and Judy Johnson (Dennis) of LaGrange; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren. A host of nephews and nieces, including a special niece, Ta'Nya Hamilton, two sisters-in-law, Sharon Hamilton of Albertson and Judy Hamilton of Durham, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he has been reunited with his brothers, Robert Hamilton Sr., June Hamilton, Jake Hamilton, James Hamilton and Lloyd Hamilton.
