John Wesley Wells

Mt. Olive - Mr. John Wesley Wells, 87 of 148 E. Nelson St. crossed from this walk of life to life eternal on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

He is the son of the late Wilson and Maggie Leach Wells and was born in Wayne County on March 27, 1934.

A member of New Jackson Tabernacle, Mt. Olive, he served on the Deacon Board.    Always busy, he loved gardening, fishing and carpentry work.

His leaves to cherish his love and legacy to his wife, Elizabeth Wells of the home; five children, John L. Wells, Lana Wells, Debra Wells (Joe), Sharon Wells (Maurice) and David Wells; eleven grandchildren including two granddaughters that he loved and raised as his own, Pinesia W. Faison and Dinesia Wells; fourteen great-grandchildren. three great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Maggie J. Wells, Shirley (Luther) Perkins and Vickie (Anthony) Flow all of Mt. Olive; four brothers, Wilson Wells Jr. of Morristown, PA, Dallas (Sandy) Wells, David (Maxine) Wells and Samuel (Cynthia) Wells all of Mt. Olive.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
