Joseph Smith Obituary

Clinton - Mr. Joseph Lee Smith, 80 of 1367 Old Warsaw Rd. boarded the gospel ship Monday, July 26, 2021 at Southwood Nursing Center.

Born in Sampson Co., he is the son of the late Pete and Hattie Smith and husband of the late Annie Carroll Smith.

He received his education in the Sampson County School System and graduated in 1958.   A loyal and dedicated employee, he spent 26 years working at Lundy's Packing Company.

Always busy, he could be found doing small engine repairs, fishing, farming or singing with the male chorus. His presence among family and the community will be greatly missed.

His love and legacy will be forever cherished by his children, Joe, Kenneth, Theresa (Craig), Andre (Betty)  and Antionette; six grandchildren, one great- granddaughter; four brothers, Albert  (Martha), William, Robert and Vander; one sister, Ester;  sister-in-law, Edna Carroll; brother-in-law, Donell Carroll.  A host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he has been reunited with his siblings, Luvie, John and Alice.
