Joyce Marie Kornegay

Mt. Olive - Ms. Joyce Kornegay, 91 peacefully crossed the shores of time on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at ECU Vidant Hospital, Greenville.

Born in Wayne Co., she is the daughter of the late William Kornegay and Lila McIver Kornegay.

Her love and legacy will be cherished by her children, Charles Kornegay, Barbara Robinson and Debra Bass; nine grandchildren, Natarsha Robinson, LaTonya McCullen (Jerome), Jamael Bass, DesMond Robinson (Donyetta), Joseph Tremain Usher (Ruby), Cedaja Lofton, Tyrone Kornegay Jr. (Barbara), Chasten Johnson and Sequia Usher; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helena Kornegay, special nieces, Linda Bass, Brenda Bass and Patricia Bass-Nelson (Rickey), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
