Bishopville, SC - Mr. Kahden Chase Newkirk, 15 formerly of Duplin County transitioned Thursday, June 13, 2024.

Kahden Newkirk, born to Rico and Jennifer Newkirk on May 28, 2009, passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 15. Kahden leaves behind a legacy marked by academic excellence, athletic talent, and a heart brimming with love for his family and community.

Kahden was a dedicated student at Lee Central High School, where he consistently earned A/B honor roll status each year. His commitment to his studies was equaled by his enthusiasm for sports, with a particular passion for basketball and wrestling (WWE). He was also an avid fan of Rod Wave, a talented cook, and a gifted singer.

Known for his gentle and soft-spoken nature, Kahden's infectious smile had the power to light up any room. He left a lasting impression on his teachers, peers, and everyone he met, being highly regarded for his kindness, respectfulness, and positive attitude.

Family held a special place in Kahden's heart, especially his siblings and his grandmothers. He shared many cherished moments with his friends Mike, Mari, Chandler, Sean, and his girlfriend Dynzee. Kahden was also deeply involved in his church community, serving as a youth trustee, and participating actively in Youth Sunday activities. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and his devotion and compassion touched many hearts.

In addition to his academic and athletic achievements, Kahden will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love for his family, and his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on those around him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Preceding Kahden in death are his mother Jennifer Lynn Newkirk and his brother Isaiah Newkirk.

Left to cherish his memories are his father Dr. Rico Newkirk; Siblings: Amauri Newkirk, Kahraun Bradley, Kahliyah Pearsall, Jamesen Newkirk, Tomisaac (MooKow) Newkirk, Kahmuri Clark, Brysen Newkirk and Christian (Skeebawl) Newkirk; Grandparents: Jesse and Diana Buford, Reverend Quincy and Shirley Hill and Cathy Lawson; Aunts: Sabrina (Jamie) Jones, Tammy Frederick, Melissa (Herb) Frederick, Ouida Frederick, Mandy (Greg) Coltren, Vangie (Nancy) Buford, and Karen Brown; Uncles: William(Kristi) Cavenaugh, Michael (Tammy) Frederick, Vance Frederick, Ronald Frederick, Willie Lee Frederick, Edwin (Angela) Buford, and Greg (Matthew) Coltren; a host of other close relatives and friends.
