Kyle Keith Gore, son of Diamond Gore and the late Shirley H. Gore departed this life Thursday, March 24, 2022. Born May 9, 1970, Kyle was the only child of this union.
Educated in the Wayne County Public School System, Kyle distinguished himself as an intellectually gifted student. During his childhood Kyle joined Winn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where he eagerly participated in Sunday school and joined the youth choir. As a child he also enjoyed family gatherings and loved spending time with his cousins. He particularly liked outings to Jones Lake with family and friends. Kyle had close relationships with his cousins; Tony Hawkins, Jodie Peele, Tenesia Hawkins, Enga Davis, and Tonya Moore.
Later in life, Kyle made Atlanta, Georgia his home. He met Veronica Black, his life-long friend and soulmate. For many years, he worked for Rubbermaid and rose through the ranks to be the division’s lead forklift driver. He also became the expert in running the computer system for the Rubbermaid Plant. Senior managers sought his help in designing systems to help the plant run more efficiently.
Elated is an understatement to describe Kyle’s feelings when the former mayor of Atlanta, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, appointed him as a liaison for the Community Literacy Program. During this appointment Kyle also volunteered to teach computer skills at a homeless center.
Kyle was family oriented and stayed in contact with family and friends. He called his dad every day and his mother’s siblings regularly. Any conversation involving politics had his interest. He was a generous and jovial person with a big personality.
Memories of Kyle will be cherished by: his father Diamond Gore and step-mother, Sherlene F.
