Leander Jones Jr.

Leander Jones Jr. was born on September 2,1955 to the late Leander Jones Sr. and Mary Louise Jones.  He went home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2022 surrounded by his wife and family.

He graduated from North Lenior High School and furthered his education Lenior Community College.  He was employed at DuPont in Kinston, NC.  Years later, he moved to Los Angeles, CA and worked in the biomaterials where he produced hair products.  He had his own business, Leander Jones Sons and Masonry, where he designed unique stonework of firepits, patios, sidewalks, steps, etc.

He attended First Rock Baptist Church where he played guitar.  He was also a lead singer with Kingsman Group.  He was an excellent guitar player and always entertained his family and friends with love and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leander Jones Sr. and Mary Louise Jones and siblings, Milton, Carrie Brown and Gwendolyn.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories to his loving wife, Doris Adams-Jones of the home.  His siblings, Cynthia Jarman (Pastor Aaron Jarman) of LaGrange, NC, Ingrid Lemmons of Atlanta, GA, Michael Jones of Washington, DC, Teresa Jones of LaGrange, NC, Andrea Jones, Ronnie Jones and Cheryl Jones-Edwards all of Atlanta, GA; 7 nieces, 5 nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
