Rose Hill - Mrs. Lendora C. Speight, 77 completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at ECU Health Duplin Hospital, Kenansville.
"Fluffie" as she was affectionally called by family and friends was born in Duplin County on August 19, 1946 to her parents the late Fonnie and Mimia Hall Carroll.
She enjoyed cooking and listening to Gospel music, especially songs by the late Lee Williams.
Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of her daughter, Ethel Speight of New Bern; siblings, Audrey Carroll (Vernon) of Jacksonville, Diane Williams of Wallace, Ruby Witcher (Lester) of Magnolia, Betty Frazelle of Magnolia, Margurite Robinson (James) of Magnolia, Phillip Carroll of Jacksonville, Julaine Bannerman of Rose Hill, Catherine Lovick of Rose Hill, Mary McAllister of Jacksonville and Anthony "Tony" Roach (Candy) of New York; a devoted niece, Debbie Hall of the home and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends,
In addition to her parents, she has been reunited with her husband, John Speight and siblings, Fonnie "June" Carroll Jr., John E. Carroll, Bobby Carroll, Ethel Mae Carroll, Hazel Carroll and Mozell Payne.
