Lila Bell Ward

Mt. Olive - Mrs. Lila Bell Ward, 94 was called from time to eternity Saturday, February 5,2022 at her home.

Born in Johnston Co., she is the daughter of the late Milton and Isabelle Grantham Artis.

She was a loyal member of St. Luke Church of Christ Disciples of Christ in Mt. Olive where she served on the mother board and the senior choir.

Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of her children, Caroletha Ward Langley of Mt. Olive, John D. Ward (Elenice) of Fremont, Charlie M. Ward (Gwendolyn) of Dudley, Sherman R, Ward (Ronda) of Riegelwood, Toney G. Ward of Atlanta, GA, Bennie C. Ward of Mt. Olive, Theresa Jackson of Dudley, Amos Bruce (Antoinette) Ward of Atlanta, GA, Raymond Earl Ward of Dudley and Stevie Ward (Nancy) of Columbia, SC; 30 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 42 great great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Helen Ward Greenfield of Mt. Olive, Cora Artis of Four Oaks and Beverly Joan Artis of Detroit, MI.  A host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she has been reunited with her husband, Milton Ward, seven siblings and two grandchildren.
