Lucy Carol (Branch) Garner

Mt. Olive - Minister Lucy Carol Garner, 72 of 1008 S Breazeale Ave. transitioned to her heavenly home Monday, April 26, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro.

Born in Duplin Co., she is the daughter of the late Theodore Branch and Annie Lucille McGowan Branch and wife of the late Larry Williams Sr. and Rev. Atlas Garner Jr.

She is a retired educator with the Duplin County School System.

A Memorial Service celebrating her Home Going will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at  Stoney Creek Park and Recreation, 2300 E. Ash St. Goldsboro.  Burial will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at T&A Branch Cemetery, Bennett's Bridge Rd., Mt. Olive.

Her love and legacy will forever be cherished by her children, Elder Angela Williams, Carvis Williams (Olivia), John Summers (Maria), Janice King (Micheal), Darlene Walker (Michael), James Garner (Demetrice), Charles Garner, Richard Garner and Arlene Gillins (Marlon); three granddaughters, Anngela Uzzell (Isaiah), Melia L. Menane and Alliyah Lewis; nine great grandchildren; siblings, Samuel Branch (Rosa), Rachel Wade and Charles Branch (Susie); sisters and brothers-in-love and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she has been reunited with her son, Larry Williams Jr.
