Lula Teachey

Greensboro - Mrs. Lula Teachey, 93 formerly of Dudley, NC entered Eternal Rest on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the home of her daughter.  She was born on January 22, 1932, in Sampson County and was the daughter of the late Johnny and Daisy Jones.

She was baptized early in life.  She was a member of Saint Mark Freewill Baptist Church, where she served as one of the "Mothers".

Lula is survived by her four daughters and daughter-in-law:  Gloria Washington (Sally), Greensboro, NC; Ellen Davis (Dennis), Goldsboro, NC; Vicki Teachey-Dukes (Mike), Fayetteville, NC; Bobette Ross (James), Greensboro, NC and Vander (Steve), Dudley, NC; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 14 great greatgrandchildren; one great-great greatgrandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, James Robinson (2021) and Leslie James Teachey (1990); two sons, Steve (2018) and Leslie, Jr. (2004); son-in-law, James Ross III (2023).

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  May she rest in peace and her memory be a blessing to all.
