MSGT. David Lee Mathis

     The Funeral service with Military Honors for Retired MSGT. David Lee Mathis will be held at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel, 812 South Center Street, Mt. Olive, NC on Friday, July 23, 2021.  A public viewing will be held from 11 am to 11:45 am.  The eulogistic service will begin immediately at 12 noon.  Rev. James A. Davis is the Eulogist.

     Due to pandemic concerns, seating capacity will be kept at 45 persons.  Mask are required for entrance to the Chapel.

     Immediately following the service, a repast will be held at the Sleep Inn & Suites hotel, 203 NC Highway 55 West, Mount Olive, NC. (conference room) Overnight accommodations if needed can be made at the same hotel by calling 1.919.658.1002.  For discounted rates:  (Ask for Mathis Family)

     David is survived by his siblings, Robert Lee Mathis, Faison, NC, Lena Mathis, Faison, NC, Alice M. Hicks (Eddie) Greensboro, NC and Elder Linda M. Williams, Mt. Olive, NC.  He is also survived by Aunt Mary Matthews, Smithfield, NC, Uncle James Cox, Charlotte, NC, Uncle Earnest Cox, Youngsville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and Tampa, Florida friends.
