Warsaw - Mrs. Margaret McKiver, 94 of 104 Revelle Rd. peacefully transitioned from this life Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at her home.
She is the daughter of the late Lonza and Annie Ashford Turner and was born in Duplin County on March 7, 1926.
She was educated in the Duplin County School System and graduated from Douglass High Class of 1945. Margaret futher her education at Deshazor's Beauty College, Durham, NC. Margaret's first passion was being a License Beautician while working in this field she was gainfully employed at various jobs such as, Duplin County Schools, National Spinning, Guilford East, Regional P. Head Start, Owner of East Hill Day Care 1&2, The first African American Childcare Facility in Duplin County. At an early age she joined First Missionary Baptist Church of Warsaw where she was a faithful dedicated member of the Pastor Aid Committee until her health fail. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, three children.
Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of her daughters, Patricia Watford of Capital Heights, MD, Earlean (Albert) Rivers, Betty (Andre') Smith both of Warsaw, NC; two daughter in laws, Doris Moore, Brookie Moore; thirteen grandchildren; special cousin, Leslie Hill. A host of other relatives and friends.
