Born in Lenior Co., he is the son of the late Nathaniel Johnson and Louvenia Whitfield.

He leaves his love and legacy to two sons, Orlando Midgette and Timothy Midgette; three daughters, Natashia Johnson Farrior (Tu'Alonza), Cheneta Davis and Claretha Midgette; grandchildren; two siblings, Sherry Johnson Graham (Marcus), and Robbie Johnson; two aunts, Bertha Mae Whitfield and Mary Ellen Tune; uncle, George Whitfield Jr., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he has been reunited with his son, Jonathan Midgette; brother, Jerry Roberts; his children's mother, Edith Robinson and sister, Klaretha Whitfield.
