Nellie Gray (Dyson) Mathis

Faison - Mrs. Nellie Mathis, 82 was called from time to eternity Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at her home.

Born in Duplin Co., she is the daughter of the late Felix and Mamie Best Dyson and wife of the late Robert Jr. Mathis.

Her love and legacy will be forever cherished by her children, Patricia Bell, Norris Dyson, Robert Mathis III, James Mathis, McKinley Mathis, Renea Mathis Teresa Kornegay and Larry Mathis;  21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Mamie Andrews and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she has been reunited with two grandchildren, Ashely Smith and McKinley Mathis Jr., one great-grandchild, Nubian Mathis and brother, Ernest Dyson.
