Mt. Olive - Mrs. Queen Ethel Oates, 71 of 102 North Beems St. transitioned Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Wayne Co., she is the daughter of Ruth Surles Carlton and David John Wynn.
She leaves to cherish her love and legacy to her son, Michael Oates (Teshor) of Holly Springs; one granddaughter, Braelyn Kynnedy Oates of Holly Springs; Katurah Oates, whom she loved as a daughter; two sisters, Dottie Shipman and Joan Carlton of Mt. Olive; three brothers, Daniel Carlton Jr., (Reba) of Windsor, James E. Carlton (Lorraine) of Mt. Olive and Donnell Carlton (Deborah) of Huntersville, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Her kind and loving disposition will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
