Faison - Mother Reatha Bell George, 86 of 131 George Rd. went from labor to reward on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at her home.
Mother George, the eldest child of Deacon Samuel (Sr.) and Rosa Bell Smith Fryar was born on March 31, 1934 in Duplin County.
She met and married the love of her life, the late Bishop Evandus "EV" George and together they ministered for over 50 years.
Mother George leaves to cherish loving memories to her children, Evangelist Gladys (Reginald) Sutton of Warsaw, Evangelist Bertha (Deacon Linnie, Sr.) Smith of Goldsboro, Loreatha (Stanley, Sr.) Smith of Faison, Arlene Brown of Jamestown, Evangelist Evangeline (Pastor Woodrow, Jr.) Grandy of Dudley, Evangelist Shirley Simpson of Faison, Glenda Stevens of Calypso, Isaac (Brenda) George of Goldsboro, Avandus (Katina) George and Levi (Marylin) George of Faison, sons-in-law, Joseph Kornegay Sr. and Elder Dexter Stevens Sr.,; thirty-two grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; sisters, Mother Rosa Freeman, Gladys (Oscar) Williams and Mother Beulah (Alexander) Hill all of Faison, Evangelist Shirley (David) George of Warsaw, and Betty Smith of Virginia; brother, Isham Fryar of Wallace. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
