Mt. Olive - Deacon Robert Lee Farmer, 87 answered the Master's call Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro.
He was the fifth of seven children born to the late Walter and Effie Farmer in Greene County, North Carolina and husband of the late Cecily Dana Farmer.
Deacon Farmer retired from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York where he was a dedicated employee for over 20 years.
He is survived by his loving family of five children, Kim Elizabeth Davis, Walter Anthony Davis (Donna), Jan Marie Worthy (Donald), Scott Mitchell Farmer (Eileen) and Robin Tracy Davis (David); eleven grandchildren; Danette, Keisha, Anthony, Shannon, Nichole, Alyse, Scottie Janel, Darion, Lydia and Janay; nine great grandchildren; Xaviar, Ayala, Avery, Jaxson, Jeremy, Jay, Adagio and Kingston; his significant other, Chaplain Sharea Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he has been reunited with his grandson, Mikey.
