Samuel Faison Jr.

Faison - Mr. Samuel Faison Jr., 97 transitioned from this life-to-life everlasting on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Samuel Faison, Jr., affectionately known as "Bubba" was born in Duplin County on March 13, 1928, to the late Harvey Cobb and Elinor Faison. He was reared by his grandparents, the late Sam and Mattie Darden Faison.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Melva Oree Faison and his children, Marion Faye Faison, LeRoy Faison, Ronald (Beamon) Faison; grandson, Darrell E. Faison; his siblings, Carthel Cobb and Tempie Hill.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Louise (Edward) Faison of Goldsboro, NC and Gladys Andre (George) Williams, of Thorofare, NJ; son, Samuel Anthony Faison of Thorofare, NJ; brother, Harvey Cobb Jr., VA; sister, Betty (William) Frederick, NC; granddaughters, Kymberlee (Eugene) Chestnutt SC; Shrondia (Eric) Fennell  NC, Dr. LaGondia Tyler, MD; RaSheka Barksdale, NJ, Regina Faison St. Croix, Veronica Faison, MD, Wanda Tann, NC and Miriah Fields, NC; grandsons, Jose Maldonado, NJ, Raheem & Rakeem Smith, NJ, and Ronald Beamon, Jr, SC; 19-great grandchildren, 9-great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
